Released in 1977 and re-released in 1997 as special edition. This movie stared it all. It's about a dark lord trying to destroy the rebellion against an empire. It involves a farmboy and an old man with amazing powers, a smuggler and his companion, a princess, and two droids. All of them fight the dark lord and win this first major battle.
