This series started off as continuation of the adventures of the U.S.S. Enterprise-D. This time, it is a whole new ship with a new crew. It also takes place in the 24th century. This series was in every way more successful than it's predecessor. The show lasted seven seasons, longer than anyone suspected. From have guest characters like McCoy, Scotty, and Spock to viewing the Enterprise-C out of place in history. The series pretty much ran it's course and properly ended to go on to the silver screen. So far, there have been three movies to succeed this series.
