The Grand Hotel
The building furthest in the center on the right is the Grand Hotel. It was there back at the time that Billy the Kid visited here and is located in the Las Vegas plaza. Also of note, Bob Ford, killer of Jesse James, and Dick Liddil, a former member of the James Gang, co-owned a saloon in the hotel in the early 1880s.
The Plaza
This photo shows the center of the plaza. The gazebo located in the center is where the old Hanging Windmill was located. The windmill was used to lynch several people on different occasions. It was destroyed in 1880.
