Case de Patron
This section of my page features photos of the Case de Patron (Patron house). It was the residence of Juan Patron, an influential member of Lincoln's Hispanic community and a supporter of the Tunstall-McSween faction. During the Five-Day Battle, it was manned by a handful of Regulators until they were forced to evacuate it by Col. Nathan Dudley and his troops. After the war, and after Juan Patron himself had fled Lincoln, the house served as Billy the Kid's "jail" while he was under arrest after he surrendered to testify before a grand jury in regards to the Huston Chapman murder. Today, the house is operated as a successful bed and breakfast, and is advertised as a place where Billy the Kid once slept.

This view of the house was taken from the south-west. The barely visible building to the right of the house is the Montano house and store.
