MY FAMILY

I was raised in a family of six; mom, dad, an older sister, and two younger brothers. When I was younger, I fought with my sister and got to babysit my two brothers. Dad worked so much we didn't get to see much of him, and mom ran a beauty shoppe at home and was always busy. I grew up believing this was the "typical" average family, but I was WRONG! I have learned over the years that I couldn't have chosen better had I done it myself. When God chose my family members, He gave His best to me! I love all of you, and this page is dedicated to you!

Since marrying into the Fournier family, I have also had the privelege of being loved and cared for by Dan's family. To them I offer my gratitude for accepting me and also my love and thanks for the wonderful son they raised--another gift from God with all the strings and joys attached to it! I love you all and am thankful for you!

Last, but not least, I would like to thank God for His creation. We have three dogs and many birds and they share our home. They have added a dimension to our lives (as well as work), but they are a part of us that can't be denied!

I wrote this many years ago for my mom and dad on their anniversary:

********************

"No one asked Him to love us, no one asked Him to care.
Yet all it takes is to reach out, and we find He's always there!
He gave His everything for us, He paid the greatest price.
He died upon the cross for us, the price He paid was life.

He gave us life that we might live, though He was the one to pay.
He never stopped to count the cost, but his Father's will obeyed.
The word of God says we are to strive to be the same as He,
To walk by faith with the love of Christ, to walk that stormy sea.

I know of two who gave of themselves,
and I found they were always there.
And I know of two who didn't have to be asked to show their love or to care.
Who gave their everything for me and paid a great, great price.
Who dieing to self never counted the cost,
thereby giving me life.

The word of God says that there are many rules,
but the greatest commandment is love.
I know that what you have given to me is the genuine love from above.
For love as free and great as this can only come from God.
He's truly blessed me with the best--that's you Mom and Dad!

And if never did I receive anything in life but what you've give to me,
I'd still be the richest kid in the world--love lasts an eternity!"
