Brought together by Gorilla Grodd, the Secret Society had a similar purpose as The Injustice Gang--to destroy the Justice League (According to Grodd, the full reasons as to why they joined together was, "Sinestro has sworn a blood oath against all Green Lanterns, Parasite simply hates Superman, Giganta's totally devoted to me, Killer Frost...she just likes to kill."). Consisting of Grodd, Sinestro, Parasite, Shade, Killer Frost, and Giganta, the Society released Clayface from his containment from the private collection of Morgan Edge.
With Clayface on their team, the Society, despite disbanding and breaking up the Justice League for a short period of time, did little different than any previous attempts at destroying them.
