Years after this disbanding of the original Teen Titans, Robin, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl and Changeling and new heroes Starfire and Cyborg were united by Raven as the New Teen Titans to thwart the demon Trigon, Raven’s father, from invading Earth. After defeating Trigon, the Titans quickly ran afoul of the villainous forces of Deathstroke the Terminator, the Fearsome Five, the Society of Sin and Brother Blood.
Meanwhile, the Titans accepted the enigmatic young girl named Terra into their ranks. Unbeknownst to the Titans, however, Terra was a spy for Deathstroke, sent to infiltrate their ranks and learn their secrets. The insane Terra then helped Deathstroke capture the Titans and turn them over to the H.I.V.E. terrorist group before killing herself. During this time, Kid Flash retired, Robin became Nightwing, and Deathstroke’s son Jericho joined the team.
When the Anti-Monitor invaded Earth, Dove, Aquagirl, and New Titan Kole died during the ensuing Crisis. Starfire left the planet for an arranged marriage and the original Titans reformed under Wonder Girl’s unsteady leadership. After an epic battle with Brother Blood, the return of Starfire and Raven, newly purged of her father Trigon’s evil, and Wonder Girl’s transformation into Troia, the Teen Titans took the more adult name the New Titans.
