Convinced that he could harness the laws of probability emanating from the stars, Professor Amos Fortune created the science of "stellaration." Creating a device to capture and use the forces of stellaration, Fortune recruited members from his childhood gang outfitting them with motifs from poker cards dubbing them the Royal Flush Gang.
