Erik von-Detten is arguably one of the hottest young actors around today. He is not only handsome, but also has an amazing amount of experience under his belt. Considering that he will only be turning 19 this October, his list of TV and film credits is enough to impress almost anyone.
Erik von-Detten's starting role was on the daytime soap Days of Our Lives, when he was eight years old. Sadly, he was only on this show for two years before moving on. Soon after his stint on Days of Our Lives he started doing made for TV movies, such as Christmas Everyday, and Escape to Witch Mountain. He is also the voice of Sid in, Toy Story, and was one of the additional voices in the Disney animated film Hercules.
Happily, Erik's stardom doesn't stop here. He also played a boy being saved from a storm drain on the highly rated show "ER," and made a guest appearance on the 7th Heaven" Halloween episode.
But don't think that this hottie is done yet, wait until you see him in his first big-screen hit "Leave it to Beaver." Erik plays Wally, Beavers older brother, who is having trouble with girls. He does find this one girl... but I think you should watch the movie to find out what happens between them.
After "Leave it to Beaver" Erik's next BIG role was in "BRINK," a Disney Channel Original Movie. In "Brink" Erik plays Andy, a "soul" skating teen who joins with a large skating company to make money for his family. This ends when Andy sees what really matters...his friends and not people pretending to like him because he's "great."
Erik's next big TV role was when he joined the cast of "So Weird," a Disney Channel series. In this show, Erik plays Clu. Clu helps his friend Annie out with many of her problems with the paranormal. Clu and Annie's lives are definitely "So Weird!"
If all this isn't enough to impress you, this summer Erik starred in the smash hit film "The Princess Diaries." In this film about an awkward 15-year-old named Mia who suddenly discovers that she is a princess, Erik plays the conceited Josh Bryant. While Mia has had a crush on Josh for a long time, he only notices her after he hears that she is royalty. Sadly, Josh is giving her attention for all the wrong reasons. This film is a great opportunity for Erik fans to see him play the bad guy.
So there it is - Erik's career from TV star ("Days of our Lives" and "So Weird") to movie star ("Leave it to Beaver" and "The Princess Diaries"). In over 10 years as an actor, you can definitely say that he has made his mark.
