When Mana had pinned Erik against the wall, I was horrified and confused b/c i didn't know what was going on.
She tried to kill him. That girl is a total lunatic. I have kept in contact with the girls as much as I could these past two months with my busy schedule and everything. Terri was the one I spoke to the most often.
Over the two months, we became very close. I could tell she getting scared of Mana after what she did and how she had been acting lately. I was also angry at her. I could tell all the girls were sick of the tour and promo schedules. It was ridiculous. They needed a break badly. Terri the most. Julie told she'd been throwing up and resting every chance she got when she wasn't with the group or Erik.
I was busy working on my new single ( note - i made up these titles ) " Taking My Time" from my new album " Sacrifices." It was on the 5h day of shooting for the video. Everything was falling into place. Terri came by on the 3rd day ( i invited her to lunch ) to watch me film until my 2 hr. break. She was amazed at how my videos were made.
She told me that Lori and JC and Lance and Peggy were engaged. They were going to have a double wedding. Justin hadn't proposed yet, but she had a feeling he could do it soon. I hoped that Erik would so that the 4 of them could get married at the same time. It definitely be unusual that's for sure. I knew Terri was going to ask me to be a bridesmaid ( at least i hoped ) and she might ask Britney. Mana I wasn't too sure about She told me some of the music she wanted included :. A*Teens, Vitamin C, 98 degrees, savage garden, Christina, Britney, me, Geri, charlotte church, Jennifer Lopez, Joey McIntyre, Celine Dion, spice girls, and Youngstown.
I was amazed as I saw the dedication in her eyes. She was an amazing , smart, friendly, unusual, and talent person. Anyone not to have known her before was nuts. The fans were in for a real treat, especially if she went solo. I told her that if she would ever go solo, call me and I would do a duet with her ( she hugged, saying that meant the world to her ).
Things had been tense with everybody since the AMA. They were before, but now it had gotten worse. The press was loving this and wouldn't stop pestering for dirt. One called Mana a bitch and she yelled back " AND YOU SAY THAT'S A BAD THING, GET A REAL JOB ASSHOLE !!!!!!!." Amazingly, the reporters starting laughing and could hardly shoot off rounds of questions. Mana just smirked and closed the door. Robyn threw it open and shouted :. " IF YOU BUTTWIPES CAN WAIT FOR A PRESS CONFERENCE WE'LL ANSWER YOUR DAMN QUESTIONS !!!!!!!!!.", then closed the door leaving all of us laughing hysterically.
None of us never knew what stories about us would be printed next. Since our album was coming out next month, we were under pressure to succeed. Half the critics loved us, 25% didn't like us, and the other 25% didn't know what to make of us. We were dubbed as the American Spice Girls. The press wanted us to have nicknames and were about give us some, but we going to reveal our nick.'s at the press conferences 2 weeks from now.
Our names were very unusual to everyone else ( as we knew they would be ), but to us they were normal ( couple of us had more then 2 names ).
PRESS CONFERENCE.
Reporters from NBC, ABC, FOX, CNN, CNBC, CHANNEL 11, and just about every new station in the state seemed to be at the press conference we were holding in front of the Lincoln Memorial. Cameras were going off everywhere as we greeted the crowd. Everyone started talking all at once.
Julie had to use a bullhorn to get everyone to quiet down. Robyn snickered as Julie them to ask questions ONE at a time.
I noticed people from the tabloids and rolled my eyes. Mana took the microphone as a male reporter from NBC asked a question.
NBC - When is your world tour starting ?
Mana - Well, It's going to start sometime in the winter between Dec. and Feb. We're gonna try to include England and Ireland if we can.
FOX - Terri, Is it true that your dating Erik von Detten ?.
Terri - Yes it is. He is just the sweetest guy I've ever met. We met backstage after one of our concerts. Right after, we managed to land our record deal.
SUN- Terri, is it true that you're having his kid ?.
Terri - Where did you get that idea ?.
SUN - Well, for one thing, you're wearing baggy clothes all the time and you're beginning to show.
Terri - Well, I'm not. Let's get on to more constructive questions.
FOX - Robyn, what's it like recording an album ?.
Robyn - It's a great experience. It takes alot of hard work to make an album. There also photo covers you have to shoot. You sometimes have to record a song 4 times to get it right. But overall, it's a great experience ( other nod their heads in agreement ).
ABC - Mana, we've heard rumors of you two having a rift backstage at the AMA. Where does your friendship stand now ?.
Mana - I'm not too sure. We haven't had much time to talk lately. You won't have to worry about anymore fights breaking out. ( looks at Terri, who just gives her a blank star ) We'll work things out.
ENQUIRER- Is it true that JC and Lance of Nsync are marrying their 2 yr. girlfriends ?.
Julie - Yes it is. It's going to be a double wedding. Justin and Tiff aren't engaged yet but that may change in the future. They're so sweet together. We're hoping for a 4 couple wedding. ( Terri blushes as the reporters laugh ) Erik and Terri , we hope, will be engaged soon, as of now, their still going out.
CNN - We've heard that you all have picked nicknames for each other. Would you care to share them with us ?.
Terri - Sure. Mana is Shirley and Ginger. Julie is Buffy and Kung Fu. Robyn is Sporty and Crazy. I'm Heat and T.
( some of this may switch to diff. pov's all the time ).
The press conference last 4 hrs. We all downed 8 bottles of water right after. And yes, we ended going to the bathroom ALOT that day. I fell asleep on the bus on the way to the hotel. Britney picked up my stuff ( she was opening for us as was the A*Teens ). I slept until we reached the concert to do sound check. I was sick and everyone could see it. Dhani (one of the A*Teens ) got the nurse who said I had to miss a couple of shows or my body would just give out.
Two weeks later
Erik and I were with ICE on MTV watching our vide on the countdown ( it was number 2, Nsync, ' I just wanna hold you tight' was ahead of us by 2% ) while we were hosting trl. I was 6 months now, and was worried about everyone else before I could tell them all in the same room. Carson didn't say anything but I knew what he was thinking. I cringed to think of what I would do if one of the callers asked about my condition.
Erik wanted to ask me on MTV but I could tell he was afraid that Mana wouldn't be able to control herself. I was going to tell everyone that I was pregnant but was afraid of the same thing Erik was. Justin was uneasy too and Tiff. knew why. He wasn't ready to ask her yet. He took a deep breath and told Tiff he wanted to ask her something later. They kissed as she said ok "sweetie."
I had a bad dream and woke up in a cold sweat. I was breathing hard and couldn't talk but laid back down to sleep. I took some Tylenol be4 falling asleep again. Erik was going thru the same thing as I was( He was gonna buy the ring tomorrow ). He knew I had something important to tell him after he was gonna ask me to marry him. I knew if I had a party I could tell everyone there so Mana couldn't kill us without witnesses * noticing ( that's how out of control she was ).
Mana was worried about me. She knew something was up. She was afraid of what I was gonna tell everybody. ' I hope she's not leaving the group.' she thought, biting her hand. ' I also hope she doesn't have cancer.' She drank some soda and fell asleep, dreaming of being mega famous.
