IN MEMORY OF CHRIS

This is the article on my son's death.

This is a racecar driver, Robbie Buehl that Chris became good friends with. Pictures here were taken at the Detroit Grand Prix.

Another of Robbie and Chris..looks like they may be discussing the upcoming race.

This is Chris with Johnny Rutherford who took us for a "fast" ride around the track!!

This is Chris again with Mario Andretti....a rare smile from Mario by what we were told and we captured it on camera!!

This was a typical day with Chris until he got really bad and couldn't even sit up.

This is Chris with Sparky Anderson who was manager of the Tigers.

This is Cecil Fielder who played with the Tigers with arm around Chris.

This is a poem that a very close friend of mine wrote shortly before Chris died...fits him to a tee!!

Chris was a fantastic kid.....was so great to see the world through a child's eyes while he could still be a kid....thanks to Rainbow Connection who provide wishes to kids that are terminally ill or with lifetime illnesses, they gave us such memorable memories....Chris has been gone about 5 1/2 years now and his brother and I miss him as much as if it was yesterday. But he is no longer suffering and can do things a normal kid can do now...something he couldn't do when he was here with us.

Here are some links to what my son had and what he died of.....

A site to learn about what my son died of.

This song playing is a song that was popular when he died...I never heard it til the nite after he died....my eldest son made me listen to the words to make me cry as I was trying to be strong and needed to let it out...thanks Todd....

Here are the words to the song...grab kleenex everyone!!! :-)

IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES

Sometimes late at nite
I lie awake and watch her sleeping
She's lost in peaceful dreams
So I turn out the lights and lay there in the dark
And the thought crosses my mind
If I never wake up in the morning
Would she ever doubt the way I feel about her in my heart
If tomorrow never comes
Will she know how much I loved her
Did I try in every way to show her every day
That she's my only one
And if my time on earth were through
And she must face the world without me
Is the love I gave her in the past
Gonna be enough to last
If tomorrow never comes
'Cause I've lost loved ones in my life
Who never knew how much I loved them
Now I live with the regret
That my true feelings for them never were revealed
So I made a promise to myself
To say each day how much she means to me
And avoid that circumstance
Where there's no second chance to tell her how I feel
If tomorrow never comes
Will she know how much I loved her
Did I try in every way to show her every day
That she's my only one
And if my time on earth were through
And she must face the world without me
Is the love I gave her in the past
Gonna be enough to last
If tomorrow never comes
So tell that someone that you love
Just what you're thinking of
If tomorrow never comes.
