What is a Furby?
Furby's are interactive pets made by Tiger. As the Official Story goes, Furby's come from the clouds. They looked down and saw the Earth. They loved the look of it and decided they wanted to live there with people. So they jumped down from the clouds on to Earth. And went to their new homes.
What do Furby's do?
Furby's can do many different activities. They have 5 different sensors on their bodies:
- Light sensor:Above eyes on head. Detects light and motion from other Furby's.
- Sound sensor:In ears. Detects loud sounds.
- Tummy sensor:In belly. Detects tickling.
- Back sensor:In back. Detects petting and rubbing.
- Tail sensor:Under Furby near tail. Detects turning upside down.
Furby's speak their own native language. It's called Furbish. The more you play and look after Furby, the more English he/she will learn. Furby's play games like Furby Says, where Furby will say a number of commands like:
- Light
- Pet
- Tickle
- Sound
- Pet

This means you cover its eyes, rub its back, tickle its tummy, make a loud sound, rub its back and cover its eyes. If you get it wrong, Furby will say 'Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah.' Another game is Ask Furby. First:- Cover its eyes.
- Uncover its eyes.
- Cover its eyes
- Uncover its eyes.
- Rub its back.
- Then Furby will say 'Ooh too mah' to let you know he/she is ready.
- Ask Furby a question.
- Rub Furby's back for the answer.
Furby's can communicate with other Furby's. Just place one or more Furby's together so their light sensors are
directly aligned. If one Furby starts sneezing, the other Furby's do too. They will talk to each other and have a coversation. They will dance and sing. When they get bored they will fall asleep. Remember, 'The more you play, the more they do, Furby's keep amazing you!!'.
