Apocalypse of Nature

Blue moons rain mud

The skies turn orange, with purple streaks

Violets bleed from their hearts

The sun bursts into a million stars

Each brighter than the one before

Water dries, becomes solid as brick

Larkspurs weep bitterly

Raining tears upon the cool linen grass

Brown paper clouds rush by

And burn up in their frenzy

Lightning beetles fill the sky

Beating phosphorescent wings

I hear the hum, and smile

Secure in my rosy, warm cocoon

Violent typhoons of honey surge

Smelling sweetly in their rage

Seagulls cry, volcanoes erupt

Lovely madness overcomes the earth

Rustling mice scatter under leaves

Hiding amongst the golden scarlet hues

Cultured pearls drip from the sky

Fall upon the clean-fragrant earth

Black tornadoes storm the sky

Large, tremendous funnel forms

Menacing in their beauty

All is calm of a sudden

The Earth is cleansed

Coconut clouds appear on the horizon

The great Sun smiles, intact

Doves purr, katy-dids chirr-upp

Grass whispers softly

All is calm of a sudden
