Broken

Finger trails down one wet cheek

And brushes past my olive gaze

Seeing with your fine Egyptian eyes

The relic of your hasty ways

You curse the ash-swept skies

Keeping in time with the visions you seek

I gladly break steel with painted fever

Clouded glance for us to keep

Watch you go, and never weep

Your love bound me to the wall

Sing the rose-carved path we knew

A hush, a sigh, whisper dear

Your time is nigh, the eyes see through

Your tender ways we both conceal

Long do I stay in broken truth

Create a world we both made real

Destroy it all in one fell swoop
