Perfection

I’ll wish your brittle crystal daydreams into solid smoke,

You sting me with confusion, just as you awoke

Kiss me with your reflection, with a chain of glass

Training silken lashes into frozen gaze of brass

Torture my existence with your enchanting mind

Drop into the hollow tranquility given in kind

Moonshine on the bloody steel, taken far its toll

Measure for measure, summon up my soul

Drink in the tears sliding down my lowered face

You thrill me with your complimentary guise of silent grace

Your icy intellect weaves its magic onto my impressionable heart

Your lovely gentle manners drive my will apart

Irresistable and unattainable, beckoning me close

Singing in mad whispers, essence of a ghost

You cleanly break through all my solitary ways

With that quiet, simple smile that darkens all my days

Your tangible warmth thrills me to the very center of my force

You seem to take it all as a matter of course

Show me my fallen dreams, enter into the pain

Lay down my every barrier, focus with eyes of rain

Snowfall gathers on my hands, covered with your own

Grace me with your teasing glance, drop the mask of stone

Sigh into my slippery hair, touch the light beneath the sky

Let me feel your aching heart where the slivers lie

Take the laced paper spread underneath my feet

Your sweet serenity hides a primal testiment to my defeat

A defeat I relish, when the time will come to be

I shall see your hungry glassy eyes slowly taking me

But until that time does come, sweetly waiting in the air,

Slowly slip between the stars, take your place as one so fair
