Adela K. Spaeth

Adela K. Spaeth, nee Hentz, 97, of West Bend, died on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005 at SynergyHealth St. Joseph’s Hospital, West Bend.
Adela was born Oct. 30, 1907 in Newburg to the late Charles and Mary (nee Hawig) Hentz.
After her marriage to Clarence Spaeth on Oct. 30, 1935 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Newburg, the couple settled in West Bend.
She enjoyed needlework, gardening and her flower beds.
Adela and Charles loved traveling throughout the United States.
Adela volunteered in the laundry at the Samaritan Health Cen-ter for many years.
Every Christmas Eve, she totally enjoyed having her family at her home.
Clarence passed away on Jan. 25, 1987.
Survivors include three children, Lloyd (Kathy) and Ruth (Jim) Rady, both of Kewaskum, and Allen (Diane) of Richfield; 10 grandchildren, Terry (Mike) Melaney, Jack Spaeth, Mary (Tom) Loduha, Karen (Tom) Wilde, Donna (Don) Scharfenberg, Bob (Mary) Spaeth, Andy (Janice) Spaeth, Pete (Deidre) Spaeth, Debbie (Bill) Butzlaff and Adam (Stacey) Rady; 24 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were three sisters, Lorraine (Isador) Spaeth, Viola (Ben) Tennies and Marie Hentz; a brother, Joseph (Myrna) Hentz, and a sister-in-law, Malinda (Pete) Merten.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 24 with the closing of casket prayers at 10 a.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church.
Father Gerald Brittain will be the presider, and burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be on Wednesday from 4 until 8 p.m. with a prayer vigil at 7:30 p.m., and also on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of the prayer service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Holy Angels School Trust Fund or to the Samaritan Health Center would be appreciated.
Adela’s family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at the Samaritan Health Center, especially the staff on the fourth floor, for the loving care given to our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
