2.  SAMUEL2 THORN (EBER1 THORNE)3 was born 1837 in New York3,4, and died Bet. 1890 - 18935,6,7.  He married LAURA HUNTOON8 15 May 1869 in Jackson, Jackson County, Michigan8,9, daughter of DANIEL HUNTOON and ALMIRA HALL.  She was born 1851 in Michigan10,11, and died Aft. 189312,13.

Samuel's sister, Albertine, married Kaleb Huntoon, a descendant of Isaac Farwell Huntoon.

• 21 May 1861: He enlisted in Company B, 27th Infantry Regiment New York, at the age of 25. I find no record of his discharge, but it is noted that on 1 Apr 1863 he was "absent sick... at hospital".

They have a daughter, Ella Thorn, age 3. Also present in their family is Samuel's father, Eber Thorn, age 69, and an unrelated carpenter named Joseph Bacon.

HUNTOON22 22 Feb 1873 in Leslie, Ingham County, Michigan22,23, son of GEORGE HUNTOON and LYDIA LINDSEY.  He was born Aug 1847 in Leslie, Ingham County, Michigan24,25, and died Aft. 193026,27.

• 1880 census in Jackson, Jackson Co., Michigan: Kileb L. Huntoon, age 34, was living with his wife Albertine Huntoon, 34, his children Warren Huntoon 6, Nellie A. Huntoon 4 and Claud E. Huntoon 2. All were born in Michigan except Albertine who was born in New York. Both of Kileb's parents were born in New York.

• 1900 census in Jackson, Jackson Co., Michigan: Kiliab Huntoon lived on 307 Greenwood Avenue. He was born August 1847 in Michigan, and his wife Albertine Huntoon was born February 1848 in New York. His household also included his father-in-law Eber Thorne, born April 1812 in New York, his married daughter Nellie Conner, born February 1876 in Michigan, and his grand-son Harry L. Conner, born October 1898 in Michigan. His son-in-law ___ Conner is not present.

• 1920 census in Charlotte, Eaton Co., Michigan: Kilian Huntoon, age 72, lived with his wife Albertina Huntoon, age 70. Both were born in Michigan. They lived as the second family in a dwelling that also contained the family of Claude E. Marshall, his wife Nellie A. Marshall, age 43, and a step-sons Harry L. Conner, age 21 and Clark Moore, age 17.
