2.  MARY² TOWNSEND (ROBERT¹)¹ was born 16 May 1775¹, and died 01 Jan 1855¹.  She married AMOS BENEDICT² 1794³, son of THADDEUS BENEDICT and ABIGAIL STARR.  He was born 14 May 1774⁴, and died 27 Feb 1845 in Meadville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania⁵.
