Martha's Vineyard Vol 3 pg. 301 - States that Rev. Thomas Mayhew was born in England. He came to America in 1631 and resided in at Medford and Watertown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts until 1642. He then moved to Martha's Vineyard. He married Jane Paine daughter of Thomas Paine and Jane Gallion, his step sister.
