2.  GEORGE² WATSON (ROBERT¹)¹ was born 1603 in England¹, and died 31 Jan 1638/39 in Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts¹.  He married PHOEBE HICKS¹ 1635 in Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts¹, daughter of ROBERT HICKS and MARGARET WINSLOW.  She was born WFT Est. 1600-1621 in England¹, and died 22 May 1663 in Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts¹.

3.  MARY³ WATSON (GEORGE², ROBERT¹)¹ was born Abt. 1638 in Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts¹, and died 01 Dec 1723¹.  She married THOMAS LEONARD¹ 20 Aug 1652 in Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts¹, son of JAMES LEONARD and MARTIN.  He was born 03 Aug 1641 in Wales (?)¹, and died 24 Nov 1713 in Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts¹.

Came with father from Wales and settled at Taunton in 1652.  Connected with military historyof Taunton for 48 years.  Appointed to General Court, Ensign in 1st Military County 1 June 1665.  Capt. of the Military Band 2 Apr. 1690, Maj. of 1st Regt. of Bristol County 1709, Judge of Quarter Sessions 1685-1713,  Assoc. for Bristol County 1685 and'90, J.P. , Justice of Court of Common Pleas 1702-13, authorized to solomnize marriages 1689, deputy, selectman, member Town Council, clerk of Proprietary Records, treasurer of Iron Works, surveyor, merchant and Physician.  Left large estate.

Buried Old Burial Ground, Taunton.  INSCRIPTION:

"Here lieth ye
Body of Major
Thomas Leonard
Esqr. Aged 72
years died Nov
ye 24 1713"
