Came to America and associated with Rev. Peter
Hobart in settlement of Hingham in 1635. Left wife and children in England.
Became freeman 3 March 1656. Often made selectman. Removed to Weymouth after
1653 and there took his 2nd wife.
Other source: says emigrated with family. Settled Hingham 1635. Left,
probably, owing to persecution of Puritans. His name, along with 29 associates
in the 1st division of land in Hingham 18 sept. 1635. Freeman's oath taken 3
Mar. 1635/6. House at "Otis Hill" still so called. 1654 removed to Weymouth.
Will proved 28 July 1657.
Emigration: 1630, Arrived in America in "Arabella"1
