Descendants of Wagner
Generation No. 1
1. WAGNER11 was born WFT Est. 1839-18681, and died WFT Est. 1894-19531. He married (1) CATHERINE STEIGMEYER1 WFT Est. 1856-19062, daughter of MAURICE STEIGMEYER and MARIA SENN. She was born WFT Est. 1835-18703, and died WFT Est. 1893-19563. He married (2) <UNNAMED>4 WFT Est. 1862-19105. She died Unknown.
Notes for WAGNER:
[William R. Livengood, v34t1695.FTW, and v56t2507.FTW, (World Family Tree submissions Volume 34 Tree 1695, and Volume 56 Tree 2507), "CD-ROM," Date of Import: Dec 25, 2000.]
Catherine was apparently the youngest of the four daughters of Maurice and Maria. A letter from William J Wagner of Logansport, Cass County, Indiana indicates that he is a son of the same WAGNER but of a "different mother." He indicates that there were children by the first marriage and that apparently Catherine died and Mr Wagner remarried. The influence of the railroad industry entered here and the daughters married railroad men. William J Wagner is a retired railroader. The matter of religion also came into the picture for we find the basic unit was Roman Catholic and some of the daughters married Protestants. Contact at church was thus lost and the method of travel prevented the getting together of the families.
Children of WAGNER and CATHERINE STEIGMEYER are:
i. GEORGE W2 WAGNER6, b. 17 Apr 18886; d. WFT Est. 1889-19786.
ii. BERNARD A WAGNER6, b. 12 Aug 18916; d. WFT Est. 1892-19816.
Child of WAGNER and <UNNAMED> is:
iii. WILLIAM J2 WAGNER6, b. WFT Est. 1866-19116; d. WFT Est. 1880-19896.
Notes for WILLIAM J WAGNER:
