One of the owners of Jolly Mill in Jolly, Newton County, Missouri. Owned the mill from 1895 until end of his life. The mill was put on the national register of historic places in 1983. The Jolly Mill park foundation has restored it to the way it was at the time it was owned by A.C. Lucas. They made major improvements to the mill during his ownership. After death of his wife he lived in the log cabin that resides at near the mill.
