New Buffalo Township

New Buffalo, post-village and township of Berrien county, Michigan, on Lake Michigan, at the mouth of Galien River, and at the junction of the Chicago and Michigan Lake Shore Railroad with the Michigan Central Railroad. It is 63 miles from Chicago, and, being near the heart of the famous fruit-region of Michigan, is a fruit and lumber depot for that city. Population of village 683; of township 1289.
