Kern Cemetery is one of the oldest cemeteries in Van Buren County. There are roughly 200 gravestones in the cemetery. Many of the persons buried here were veterans of the Civil War. Some of the families buried here include:
Abbott, Bradt, Burgess, Carr, Corey, Huxtable, Kern, Kinney, McClain, Maxam, Milliken, Munger, Nesbit, Streeter, Upham, Van Sickle, Wyman, and others.
