Characters weapons and skills

Character Skills and Weapons
This is an overview of what we know about the character skills and weapons. Limit breaks are NOT exactly limit breaks anymore. They are more like desperation moves. We know of five characters skills and we are very sure of Munba's. Character weapons have not been seen yet, simply because the full game has not been released. We do know of most of the general weapons that characters will have. Here is our incomplete list of character battle specs.

Squall
Squall's skills are very confusing, so bear with us if we get this a little bit wrong. Squall has a "limit bar" that is larger the more badly he is damaged. For example, if Squall had 93 hitpoints left out of 263, he would have a moderately small limit bar. If squall had 1 hitpoint left out of 263, his limit bar would be very long, and he would do massive damage to the enemy. By pressing a certain button (R1?) when the meter reaches a certain point, you can do a limit break. It is not known if these limit breaks are done at random or if you have a degree of control over it. For now, I will list off Squalls primary skill as the limit slash.

Limit Slash-The limit slash is where Squall does a string of sword maneuvers at once and damages the enemy multiple times. Somehow during this, a real limit break can be activated, but it is currently unknown how you would do this.

Sacred Circle-Squall jumps up into the air and draws in rays of light from the surrounding area. Then he swings his sword and an explosive shock wave rolls forth and hits all enemies. This will do moderate-heavy damage.

Zell
Zell's limit breaks work like Sabins blitz ability in FF3 (or FFVI in Japan). You press a certain button combination and he will do a certain move. This was not how it worked in the demo, but it was only a demo. When you initiate this skill, a meter will start going on the right side of the command/status box. While this meter is running you can input multiple limit attacks as long as the meter is still going. For now, we have one official limit attack, and one we don't exactly know the name of.

Meteo Barret - Zell jumps into the air and draws electricity into his fist from the area around him. Then he flies down onto a random enemy with an electrified fist, causing heavy damage to the enemy.

Munba
Munbas skill is not entirely official. This is most likely what his skill is, but don't rely on this one a lot. Munbas skill is to attack an enemy, and sniff their blood. After this has happened, Munba will gain the abilities of that enemy, possibly something like Gau's rages from FF3/FF6.

Irvine
I'm not completely sure of exactly what Irvine's skills consist of. He shoots multiple times while a meter on the right side of the screen is going. It's said that these bullets can have special attributes, but I'm not quite sure if that means you can equip fire bullets, or if it means he enchants his bullets, or if he will simply pull out a flamethrower and torch the living crap out of any enemy that gets in his way.

Selphie

Selphie's special skill is a slot machine sort of thing. She randomly casts a spell depending on what she got in the slot machine. The more damaged she is, the more powerful magic she will cast. It is unknown whether she casts normal magic or if she casts spells specific to her special skill.

Quistis
Quistis's skills work almost exactly like the limits from FFVII. This is from what I've seen so far, so this is subject to change. When she initiates her skill, she gets a menu of different skills that she can use, the ones we know are official are called hyperquake and mazer eye. Unofficial ones include Lightning Stroke and Enemy Skill.

Hyper Quake - Quistis sends out shockwaves all around her, most likely hitting all enemies within range, most likely for light-moderate damage.. This could also be called Sonic Boom.

Mazer Eye - Not quite sure about this one. It looks like she's sending a robotics bomb at her enemies or something like that, but that could just be another enemy. If that IS a bomb, then this skill would most likely do very high damage to one enemy.
