STATEMENT OF FAITH
ONENESS OF GOD:
There is one eternally existing person who is God. He is the Father of Jesus the Christ. He ultimately will rule over all when the eternal Kingdom of God is established on the earth. (Isa. 44:6-8, Eph. 4:6, 1 Cor. 8:6, 1 Cor. 15:58, Rev. 5:10, Rev. 21:1-4)
SONSHIP OF JESUS:
Jesus is God's only Son, born of God's Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary. This Jesus is both God’s Son and Son of Man. God's plan from eternity was made flesh in the person of Jesus, who perfectly represented God, his Father. Jesus is the promised Savior, the Messiah. Jesus died on a cross as an atonement for the sins of mankind. He himself was mortal and remained in death three days until God gave Jesus immortality by raising him from the dead. He then ascended to heaven, God's dwelling place, and sits at the right hand of God interceding for Christians. God is going to send Jesus back to this earth to establish His Kingdom and to begin God's concluding plan for all of eternity. (Luke 1:35, John 3:16, John 20:31, 1 John 5:5, Acts 7:55)
HOLY SPIRIT:
God shows His power and Himself through His Holy Spirit which is directed by Jesus. That influence of the Spirit of God is evident in the gifts given to individual Christians that empowers them to perform their ministries.(1 Cur. 12, Rom. 12, Eph. 4) As further demonstration of the Spirit's presence, evidence should be seen in each individual's life in regards to their actions, attitudes, and disposition. Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control should be evident in believer’s lives. (Gal. 5)
PLAN OF SALVATION:
In order to have eternal life, an individual must believe in the message and plan of God which first and foremost includes Jesus Christ as the only answer, turn around or repent from his acknowledged sin, be water baptized for the forgiveness of those sins, and live under God's authority seeking to live a Christian life. (Acts 8:12, Acts 2:38, Acts 17:30-31, Phil. 2:12)
THE BIBLE:
God inspired people throughout history to write down His thoughts, plan, and intentions in words understandable to mankind. His perfect will did not allow errors to come into the Scriptures and it is a document trustworthy in every respect. (2 Peter 1:21, 2 Tim. 3:16-17)
MAN AND HIS CONDITION:
When God formed the first man, Adam, from the earth, he then gave him his breath of life which enabled man to live. When a man dies, that divine spark that empowers life goes back to God. Man in death is without thought, and remains in the grave until Jesus' return to this earth. At that time, Christ will raise and reward Christians with the Immortal and Incorruptible life which God gave to Jesus when God raised Him from the dead. (Gen 2:7, Eccl. 3:20, Eccl. 9:5, Eccl. 9:10, Eccl. 12:7, John 5:28-29, 1 Cor. 15:50-55)
FUTURE HOPE AND KINGDOM OF GOD:
Jesus will return to the earth at a point in the future known only to God our Father. Then Christians will be rewarded with citizenship in the Kingdom of God. Jesus will reign on this earth for 1,000 years in preparing for eternity. After a final rebellion, which Jesus will conquer, He will turn over the Kingdom to God, his Father who will reign on this earth for eternity. (Matt. 25:30-31, Acts 1:11, 1 Thess. 4:16, Rev. 20:4-10, Rev. 21:3)
PRAYER:
God has opened an avenue of communication directly to Himself for people. In this way, Christians are to come to Him as a child to a father and expect answers to prayer.
FAMILY AND THE CHURCH:
The ideal situation that God intended is for men and women to marry and raise their family in love and obedience to God as their Heavenly Father. In this world, the Church becomes an extended family to all who are involved in Christ. Even for those not yet Christians, the Church is to offer a warm and loving environment to all.
