Pictures of Me in Other Productions

In April and May of 1999, I did a production of "Pump Boys and Dinettes" at Holland Civic Theatre. The show had an extremely long run, and I had an extremely complicated schedule, so my part, the part of "Rhetta" was double cast. Here's a photo of the three(!) dinettes from our production of Pump Boys. Betsy (The Other Rhetta), Mary (Prudie), and me (Rhetta). (This photo was taken on Betsy's night to perform, that's why I don't have all my make-up on. In the actual show, I wore about a gallon of blue eyeshadow!)

In December of 1998, I participated in a student production of "The Eight". This dark comedy told the story of Santa Claus's eight reindeer, and let out the secrets about what REALLY happens at the North Pole. Here's our cast: Jeremy (Comet), Patrick (Dasher), Dave (Prancer/Hollywood), Me (Vixen), Tom (Cupid), Holly (Blitzen), Emily (Dancer), Chris (Donner).

Hope did a production of "Fiddler on the Roof" in October/November of 1998. I played Fruma-Sarah, this horrible huge dead ghost/witch/person/screaming/Tall/Thing. I had a lovely costume, and LOVELY make-up. Yes, this is me under all that makeup. Here I am in all my Fruma glory.

However, I also played a normal townsperson in the OTHER Fiddler scenes. Here, I am in my townie clothes corrupting the youth backstage. (That's Laura, who played "Sprintze"... I think I was teaching her how to rap or something...)

In the summer of 1998, I played Meg Boyd in a production of "Damn Yankees" at Footlite musicals. Meg was a fun part because it was a real part, and because it stretched my dramatic capabilities. Here's a cute photo of me as Meg with my friends Doris (Leland) and Sister (Rashida) backstage.

Here I am onstage with Matt who plays Joe Hardy, in an extremely touching and emotional scene... Notice the tears in my eyes??? *sigh*

. I am a goofball, I know, and this photo proves it. This is from a show I did in May of 1998 called "Musical Mess". It was a children's show about cleaning up a messy room, and recycling, etc. In this sequence, we have made costumes out of newspapers, and I am Annie. I am singing "Tomorrow" and everyone has run offstage screaming. And I say "Leapin' Lizards! And I always felt so comfortable in the Funnies! Get it? Funnies!" (Yes, it's a bad joke...)

In February of 1998, I participated in Hope's production of "Fen". This was a cool show, because it took place rural England, so we all had to learn to speak in a very stylized rural English accent. It was also fun, because we each played multiple characters. This photo is of the cast of Fen. I'm crouched down at the bottom there. In this photo, I'm in my Becky costume. Becky is a fifteen year old girl who is abused by her stepmother. I also played the ninety year old, senile, great-grandmother. Weird, I know...

This is a photo of my friend Sarah, and me backstage during a production of Cole that we did at Hope in 1996. Cole was my first college production, and it was a musical revue/cabaret type show featuring music by Cole Porter. It was a lot of fun... a LOT of music, but a great show to start off my college career with!

. Just for kicks, I thought I'd throw in a photo from a high school production. This one's from "How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying". I did this show my senior year of high school, in 1995. I played Hedy LaRue, a "secretary" at the World Wide Wickett Corporation. This is one of my favorite roles that I have ever played, and I'd love to do it again someday... This photo is of Todd (Mr. Biggley) and myself (Hedy).
