Our current LaMancha herd consists of just one doe. Autumn Acres Beanie Baby joined our herd of Alpines this year after my daughter fell in love witha doe kid that was being raffled off at our annual Michigan Dairy Goat Society show. Of course Laura did not win the raffle doe, but the wonderful person who donated her, Tammy Tullar, offered to sell a doe kid to Laura.
Laura and I went to Tammy's house and she let out the last two doelings she had for sale. The other one went off to explore the barn, and Beanie came over and practically climbed on Laura's lap. It was a done deal right there. Beanie came home with us that day. Beanie was the Jr Champion LaMancha and Reserve Champion LaMancha at our county fair. Beanie was not bred for 2005 as she has some growing to do yet. She was the smallest of quadruplets.
