WINSHARK'S WORD-A-DAY'S

I've been looking up at least one word a day in the dictionary. Started over the summer. Didn't keep up though. Now I have been.

The words and definitions are from my Oxford dictionary/thesaurus.

"Attenuate"- Make slender.  (9-29-99)

"Factotum"-  Servant/assistant who does all kinds of
             work.(9-27-99)

"fais accompli"-  Something irreversible. (9-26-99)

"Inimical"-  Hostile, threatening. (9-28-99)

"lapis lazuli"- blue, semi-precious stone. (7-12-99)
