HAIL TO THE VICTORS: MICHIGAN FOOTBALL '99Welcome to another exciting year of Wolverines football. E-MAIL ME AT: SHNOPSI115@AOL.COMTo start off the season on my new page I will be exploring and investigating into the Quarterback situation in Ann Arbor. The Sophmore Sensation, Drew Henson , and solid 5th year senior Tom Brady are battling for the starting job. "Having two great quarterbacks doesn't bother me," Carr said. "Believe me I'm excited. I'd take this every single year. I think they both have a lot of the same qualities. They're both extremely competitive, they're both very smart, they're both tough and they're both the kind of guys that are respected by their teammates." -ESPN U-WIRE

BRADY
Brady has already proven to be a potent starter within the Wolverine system. As a starter last season Brady set team records for passing attempts, completions and finished second in total yards en route to a 10-3 season capped off by a Citrus Bowl win. "You come into a situation like this, and you just go out and do as best you can," Brady said. "Obviously, you hope everything works out. But if, for some reason, it doesn't, you just keep battling. You never give up. You just keep working harder." Props to the DETRIOT FREE PRESS |
HENSON
Henson is much better at getting out of trouble if the pocket collapses and has the ability to scramble for the first down. "The biggest key will be to pick up where I left off in the spring," Henson said. "I feel I finished the spring on a very good note, and I think my coaches think that as well. I just have to get out there and play at that same level." Several U-M insiders have said that Henson made major strides during spring practice while Brady was static, and should that pattern continue in the next few days, Henson would overtake Brady.
