An unspeakable desire to set ablaze the pyre

Dune land awash in the rolling sand
Lost in the forest without trees
And the sea of salt
Where the water is bitter and foul to taste
But drink is necessity, and necessity is life

I’ve swam the oceans, I’ve crossed the mountains
Running after your voice until the end of time

The glow of the city walls, so many colors
A prism of childless light
I’ve seen it in your eyes
The luminescence of beauty and mystery at night

Don’t be afraid of the dark
What lives under your bed and in your closet
Is not fiction enough to matter
So I’ll save you from your nightmares

Wipe back the rules, toss away pretensions
And open up to this new life of humanity willfully sanctioned
