Premonition

Do you remember the years -
All the mysteries and tears?

Yes, I remember those years
Back when I used to hide all my fears

Do you remember what you used to say
When you sat down at night to pray?

I was torn so much then, what else could I say?
I maintain those rights to this day.

Do you deny that we’ve saved what we could?
You stand here on two feet which before you never stood

I do not deny those facts: you did what you should
You did more than I ever would

Come hither then, pray to
I know you’re nervous, but please, do not mill and stew

How do you know what I never knew?
I am not a man with which to screw

We are certain of your power
Dear sir, and your temptations sour

Lest your blood run cold you know not how dour
My agenda burns in this hour

Your petty agenda and trifle threats phase us not
Who do you think you are to bring us rot?

I cry out to you, Lords, with this message brought:
Know ye even what forever you have sought?

Your strength is small, impudent, notwithstanding unlike the tower
You cannot even begin to imagine our power

In the darkness, my cold friends, you will mourn and cower
Oh, yes, dear frozen friends, pain as harsh as this gentle flower
