Visage

If I could see through the eyes
Of another man
Maybe I wouldn’t see the same person
Standing in front of me

Maybe if I could see through that man’s eyes
You would look differently to me
The image I see everyday
Would be changed

But if by what you say is true
I don’t want to see through any eyes but mine
What you say is despiseable.
What you say I cannot imagine.

How beautiful you are to me
How ironic your twisted judgment seems
Because I know that I am just another man
And that it is you who is seeing abnormally

Two views juxtaposed against one another
Two hearts connected willfully
One thought enveloping both our minds
One hope for eternity
