HISTORY OF PAST BOOSTER PROJECTS

The fundraising efforts and donation of volunteer time, energy and materials of numerous Booster parents accomplished these projects.

Ongoing:

 Provide scholarships for Students.

 Conduct various fund raising events ( raffles, pot of gold dinner, craft show, selling products, etc.) to raise money to pay for needed school improvements.

 Provides loans as needed to the various teams, clubs and student groups.

 Hosts and supports Honors Night, Banquets, Parent Recognition Nights and other special student events.

 Operates the concession stand during athletic events and other school functions.

 Host Dances for the 8th graders and high school students

 Annual Courtyard Cleanup each Spring prior to graduation.

 Provide Donations to Project Graduation and other school related activities.

 Host the Annual Arts and Craft Show each fall.

 Give

"Kisses to all Seniors" at Graduation.  Operate the school store to provide students with “WEST WARE and GEAR,” at a reasonable price.

 Supports for the yearbook projects by purchasing ads and donations.

 Conducts fact finding surveys for staff and teachers to formulate “wish list.” The wish list is then used to guide purchases and projects that enhance the school environment for ALL students.

 01/99 Upgrading concession booth in cafeteria was authorized.

 03/99 Purchased mirrors for the weight room.

 01/99 Purchased Quiz Bowl “lock out system.”

 01/99 Paid for repairs to benches outside of cafeteria.

 01/99 Purchased several floor mats for door entrances. ($1400)

 08/98 Purchased new Showcase.

 08/98 Materials for a sign for Track Record holders.

 08/98 Fall bulb planting around the 8th grade portables.

 08/98 Funds ($2500) were authorized to purchase books and pay for license fees for computer programs after a request was made by Zemmer’s librarian .

 08/98 Repairs to football stand speakers.

 08/98 Wish List Request for carpeting for West Library and Shades in building.

 08/98 Purchased Athletic Banners.

 05/98 Planned Landscaping Projects around the school.(>$2000)

 03/98 Planned Concession Stand fix up for the summer. Replaced cabinets, counters and window, door openings.

 01/98 Rewiring and plumbing to cafeteria.

 10/97 Purchased Shop Vac for Concession Stand cleanup .

 10/97 Staffed Silver Dome Concession Stand.(fund-raiser)

 10/97 Purchased Flex Cam at the request of Special Needs Students.

 10/97 Purchased Microscope and specialized equipment for the Science Department.

 8/97 Upgraded (14)computes at West to Pentium and purchased other hardware items.

 8/97 Purchased new letters for outside of building and signs for the hallways.

 8/97 Purchased Music Stand for the Music Department.

 8/97 Sponsored and sold Black Angus Cow Raffle Tickets.
