Kassidy was traded to Detroit from Orange County on July 31st at the Trade Deadline. In that trade coming to Detroit was Kassidy, Mike Chaing, and Steve Connell. Going to Orange County was Catcher Jeff Larson. Since coming to Detroit, Kassidy has been sent to the Minors. He first went to the Single A Team the Great Lake Loons for 19 Games. He showed a lot to Manager Lance Parrish so Parrish made the call to Double A Erie Wolves, Manager Willie Horton. Willie said to send him up he had room for him. So he was promoted to the Erie Wolves of AA. Since coming here Kassidy has showed a lot of poise and batting .348 for the Wolves. Horton said he likes the way Kassidy studies each and every pitcher he faces he keeps a book on the bench and at the end of each time at bat he writes down the pitchers name and what pitches he throws to him.
