We talked to Matthew about his first Sim of 2008 and he had this to say. “WOW the stadium really looks great and a sell out crowd to boot. Detroit puts out a lot on money for all of their Minor League Teams to have great Opening Day’s. Next up was the Team Announcements Our Team the Toledo Panthers Coaches, Relief Pitchers, Starting Pitchers, and the Bench Players were announced first. Then our Manager and our Starting Line-Ups. Then it was Great Lakes turn. The Announcer said the Manager of your Great Lake Loons is Lance Parrish now for the Starting Line-Up for your 2008 Great Lake Loons batting first and leading off is centerfielder Scotty Bridges, batting second and playing second base is Dakota Duncan, batting third and DHing is Matthew Sweeney, batting fourth is catcher Matt Hardy, batting fifth and playing leftfield Matt Landess, batting sixth and playing first is Wendel Clark, batting seventh and playing rightfield is John Wilson, batting eighth and playing third base is Derek Dietrich, and batting ninth and playing short is Timathy Bascom, and in the Bull Pen warming up is your Starting Pitcher Matthew Lash. Next up is the first pitch of the new season, throwing out the first pitch that honor went to a long time Tiger Great Allen Trammell. The Crowd went nuts again seeing how great Allen looked out there”.
