We asked Alec about his last Sim and he had this to say. “Well we played and that’s about all I can say about that. We went 7 and 3 in the last Sim but we built our lead over second place Miami by two more games. Were still not hitting the ball the way we did last season. Were like in a mini slump, like you know what I’m talking about. Were winning the games but were not just winning the games it seems after we get the lead then we go into a sittin mode where we depend on our pitchers to hold the lead. If they give up a couple of runs and we get behind then we’ll score some to get the lead back then we sit on the lead again. We just don’t have that killer instinct we had last season. Last season the team considered every game a tie game and we scored on top of scores no matter what the score was it seemed like it was never enough runs. This season if were ahead 2 to 1 then the Team is happy to win the game 2 to 1. Well I liked it better last season where no lead was safe we just kept scoring runs until the umpire said the Game was over. I liked that a lot better. I just hope Willie and I can get this Team to do the same thing get them back into that state of mind. Well let’s talk about the Sim last night”.
