Then I met you

There i was at thirty-one
Not knowing where my life had gone
I was in and out of abusive relationships
I never thought my life would be like this
My self-esteem was so awfully low
That i figured I'd always be alone
At this point in my life I was content with this
I was tired of all the negative bullshit
Then I met the most wonderful man
That took the clouds right from my hands
Replaced those clouds with pure bright sunshine
I was so cold and had a heart of stone
Yet this man melted me to the bone
He showed me what "LOVE" really meant
That was the day that I met "YOU"
So here I am at Thrity-four
And with a man I truly adore
You've led me down the right way
So I could succeed to see another day
As I end this poem I'd have to say
That you are an inspiration to this day
That day I met you brought me blue skies again
And I will always love you even to the end
