The Clamp Down

Under the guise of preserving law and order and protecting
the civilian population from uncontrollable extremists,
the
president declared Martial Law two days ago and the
United
States Bill of Rights was finally laid to rest.
The United States
had finally become, de jura as well as de facto, a
police state.
The kid gloves have come off, and everyone is now
beginning
to realize that we live not in a free country but
an oppressive
aristocracy of inhuman corporations and selfish billionaires.
The war has finally returned home; the terrorism which
the US
has exported for so long has finally been brought
to play upon
its “own people,” as it was destined to do from the
moment that
it was first allowed to rear its ugly head.
One hour after sending out the call to march on Washington,
the
Dissemination News Agency (DNA) was raided and its
server
was seized. Staffers who were present at the
time of the raid
were taken into custody and have not been heard from
since.
The raid was carried out by the FBI and state police.
Other people
affiliated with the DNA were arrested at home or elsewhere.
This
reporter is currently on the run, beging sufficiently
forewarned so
that he might slip out of town ahead of the police.
All reports from
now on will be passed along by a network of ham radio
operators.
I urge anyone who is capable of doing so to print
up this report and
any others which you might receive and distribute
them over as wide
an area as possible.
That night the president went on TV and declared martial
law, as
we warned that he would. By the following morning,
yesterday,
the internet was shut down and all of the major news
agencies were
tightly harnessed. In New York, 39 protesters
were killed and 140
more were injured when troops opened fire on protesters.
This was
a first proof that the government meant business;
to the people of this
country, this proof sent out a signal to take up arms.
War has broken
out in our cities between the citizens and federal
troops. The fight
for freedom, for our homes and for our rights has
begun, and is
quickly becoming a battle for our very lives.
It was yesterday morning, as well, that the mass arrests
and
disapprearances began to take place as the government
carried out
a radical roundup throughout the country. Many
of our best and most
experienced organizers and activists disappeared that
morning. And
the arrests, and the disappearances, continue as of
this report, the
following evening. Already the reasons for arrest
are becoming less
and less plausible.
In the last two days the government has also carried
out full
scale attacks on several militia groups throughout
the country,
involving both air power and ground troops.
The wisest militias
scatter and retaliate with guerrilla action.
This reporter found it
amusing earlier to hear a right wing militia officer
quoting Che
Guevara. It is becoming apparent to everyone--right,
left, or
off the scale--that we must work together to overthrow
this
totalitarian system or kiss goodbye to any freedom
we ever had.
Our government, and the monied interests behind it,
have never
given the people of this country our due. They
play us for fools,
working us for their profit and turning us one against
the other.
They claim our inability to govern ourselves as justification
for
their rule. Nor do they recognize the power
of the people until
we rise up and act together. This ignorance
will be their undoing.
If we all work together, they cannot defeat us.
It is time to caste
them off our backs and show them how little they are
truly needed.
