IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT EMAIL
I reply to every sincere email I receive. However, some email servers are so
security-tight, my reply may not get back to the sender. This especially applies to AOL
users. I'm not going to rant about AOL here (I have a lot to say about that!), but you
should know that it's very difficult, often impossible, for non-AOL users to communicate
with AOL. AOL is not the only culprit. Other servers will also dump Yahoo and Hotmail as
spam, and you may never see my reply.
What happens most often is that the reply I send is kicked back to me as undeliverable
with fatal errors. I get that ugly Mailer Daemon thing. Or it comes back as
undeliverable due to user not accepting emails, or unknown user. You have no idea how
frustrating that is when I really want to reply to you. I will try to reply three (3)
times. After that, it's your problem and I'm very sorry for you. You are probably
missing a lot of emails that you really want.
I repeat...I reply to every sincere email I receive. If you don't get a reply from
me, blame your server.
There are some things you can do to make sure you get a reply.
1. Add the person you wrote to your address book. This will let the server know that you
want email from that person. You can always delete that addy later if you don't need it
anymore.
2. If your server gives you a junk or bulk mail folder, check it regularly to make sure
the emails you want aren't going there.
3. Check your settings to make sure you don't have something turned on or off that would
prevent emails from getting to you.
4. Another very good option is to get yourself a webmail account such as Yahoo or Hotmail.
It's free, safe, and will protect your main email from unwanted junk. Use that when
communicating with strangers such as rabbit breeders, and you will be sure to get their
replies.
* NOTE. If you hold your cursor over an email button or link on a webpage, you should see
the actual email addy at the bottom left of your browser window. Jot it down, and then
you can use it from your webmail account. Not posting the actual addy on our websites
helps protect us from some spam.
The Subject Line. Please put something about rabbits or the reason for your email
in the Subject Line. I, too, get a lot of spam, and a blank subject line is reason to be
wary of opening the email. This could be another reason why you haven't received a reply
from me. It's also easier for you to notice the reply, and may let your server know that
you want it.
I hope this will help make your online experience easier for both you and me. Looking
forward to hearing from you. ~ Dennie ~
