JUST ANOTHER FADED MEMORY

Waves gently caressed the shore
As the sun was setting low.
It was just you and I then
As we watched the embers glow.

The fire was slowly dying
While we whispered of our sweet love.
Our bodies became mere shadows
From the moon's glow up above.

We danced to our own music
With a rhythm all it's own
Never fully realizing
It'd be the best we'd ever known

But like the dying embers...
Our love was soon to be
For it wasn't long til you became
Just another faded memory.
