I'D LIKE TO BE A SPIRIT
I thought I would add this silly little poem to these page. It is the first poem I ever wrote and it was almost 45 years ago. I was in the 6th grade and it was for a writing assignment. ( I actually won first palce for it!) :) The prize was a free ticket to the movies. I hope it brings a smile to your face.
I'D LIKE TO BE A SPIRIT
I'd like to be a spirit,
like casper the friendly ghost.
Think of all the fun I'd have,
flying from coast to coast.
I'd stop off here, and stop off there,
to help a friend in need.
And when I had the time to play,
Oh, I'd have fun indeed!
For, I'd tease almost every one,
and make things disappear,
And though they couldn't see me,
I'd always be right near.
Everyone would like me,
they'd think I was the most.
Cuz, every one would know me as
"Christie The Friendly Ghost!"
