CRANBERRY RELISH
1 lb cranberries
2 oranges (use pulp of 2 oranges, skin of 1 orange)
6 medium apples
2 cups sugar
Grind all ingredients together and let set for 24 hours. This is a really great relish -- we make it every year for Thanksgiving and Christmas. This recipe was handed down from my husbands mother.
BARBEQUE SAUCE
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp vinegar
1 tbsp worchestershire sauce
1/4 tsp lemon juice
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 cup catsup
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp paprika
Just heat all ingredients until dissolved and baste on meat. This sauce is especially good for spare ribs.
HOT CHERRY SAUCE
1/2 cup sugar
dash of salt
2 tbsp cornstarch
3/4 cup cherry juice
1 cup water
1/4 tsp almond flavoring
Cook until thickened. Pour over cake, pudding, dessert of your choice!(Mother, 1966)
