3D Studio Modeling Work

This is just some basic modeling work I've done in 3D Studio Max. Most of it is old, as school has taken up practically all of my time latey. Hopefully this will give people an idea of my range of skills. Output, however, will be a function of time invested, so it's all about the schedule.

I did this model as a personal challenge from one of my classmates in High School (1998-99). It is based directly off sketches he drew, but unfortunately I don't have them for comparison. This was modeled completely from scratch and has no actual textures, just standard max object colors (Max v. 2.5). [note: I see a new bug/error in the eye, could be a problem in the conversion from v.2.5 to v.5.0]

Most of my modeling before and after this project has been basic shapes edited by the "edit mesh" command. This is using the more complex "loft" commands to get the base shapes before editing.

Pretty cut and dry. Most of my modeling experience has been for animation. Getting the right feel for motion... using effects and materials to make simple models look better in full motion than the still shot of a higher polygon model.

Flame Thrower

A quick model done for Strong Bad Mod the day email 99 (Homestarrunner.com) came out. Not bad for a couple hours worth of work, though obviously a simple object. It could use some textures to make it more cartoony, in keeping with the source and use.
