Arthur Treacher's Fish & Chips

ARTHUR TREACHER'S FISH & CHIPS [53]

Note: The early Detroit/Southeastern Michigan stores were all owned by a franchisee who converted those locations to Seafood Bay in 1985 and closed them in 1996, although it appears that Adrian, Monroe, Troy, and all of the Macomb County locations except 4925 E. 8 Mile Rd. in Warren had already closed by this point. Seafood Bay filed for bankruptcy in 1996. After re-entering Detroit in the early 1990s with several food court locations, Arthur Treacher's bought six of the Seafood Bay locations back (Ferndale, Livonia, Madison Heights, 17020 E. 8 Mile and 17580 Fenkell in Detroit, and 4925 E. 8 Mile Rd. in Warren) with the intent of converting them to a new concept called Seafood Grille. However, only Livonia and Madison Heights were actually converted before all of them closed again. The owner of the Seafood Bay franchise kept the Warren Ave. store in Dearborn open as Fish &Shrimp House after all the other Seafood Bay stores closed.
