To provide more depth in character development, as well as prevent characters that hold every power imaginable, we have devised a Character Classification system. Within each class you will find drawbacks and benefits to each character class. Providing distinct lines between classes and unique abilities for each will provide both a framework for realistic character development, as well as add a depth to the role-playing. Also, it will make those folks who manage to stay alive long enough to reach the higher levels a true asset. Although many people bring their existing long-term characters into GEM, we encourage you to take this opportunity to start fresh with a new type of character. All characters, regardless of how long you've been playing them, start at the base die skill level. For the sake of avoiding confusion, only one character may be played per screen name.
