My name is Steve Mikkeson. I shot this deer on Nov 15, 2002 in Ontonogon County. I used a Remington 700 BDL 3006. The deer weighted 215 lbs. Outside spread was 20 3/8" and the longest tine was 10 1/2". Gross score was 149 1/2 unofficial. Others have scored it higher and say it will score around 155 when it dries.
Here's something really impressive. I went hunting with two other buddies. We bag six bucks (the 12 point, four 8 points and a 3 point) in four days. The biggest 8 point was 17 1/2" wide and gross scored 121. The next biggest 8 point had an inside spread of 15" and was not scored. The other two 8 points measured at 13 1/2" inside spread. Not bad from some lower michigan boys hunting in the UP.
At Tags Bar in Mass City, the owner Dick (I think) said in 26 years of weigh in deer, he never saw a pick truck with three bigger then ours at one time. We brought the 12 point (215 lbs), the big 17 1/2" 8 Point (190 lbs) and the next biggest 15" 8 Point (175 lbs). We took about 20 pictures throughout the day with people we never met.

Kyle shot his 8 pt., 26" long beams, 9" tines, 16 1/4 spread approx. 167 lbs. buck in Onondaga, MI with a CVA inline muzzleloader with a redfield scope shooting Hornady 240 gr. XTP bullets
I shot this buck at 70 yds. at 5:15 PM sitting in a treestand that my dad, his friends and I call "Old Faithful". The reason we call this "Old Faithful" is because my dad, his friends and I see 25 to 30 deer a day and me and my dad have shot a half dozen Pope and Young class bucks there.
My dad's pics are on Jack's earlier deer pages too.
