New York City Transit Workers Strike
Mood:  surprised
Now Playing: Bleu Bird
Topic: Class Topics
well i was reading this article on Aol News and it said that all the subways and bus stations in New York were closed because they were on Strike. They were on strike becayse they felt that they were underapreciated. This caused 7 million people to have to find new ways to get to work.
Do you think that their strike was for a good enough reason to put 7 million people in chaos?

p.s. Mr. Jacobs how come i have a zero for my 11/28 discussion board. I do my discussion board every week so can you look into that?

There is probably good reason why the subways and bus stations are closed. You've probably heard about the bombings of the subways in London. The subways in New York are on strike because they don't want the same thing to happen to them. The rest of the population of New York doesn't matter to them. Only their safety matters.

For those who are involved in the strike, they should have thought about the rest of the population of New York first before deciding to strike. They should have thought about how they were going to get to work and go places. Therefore, their strike is our loss.

Those people on strike must be incredibly stupid to believe that they were underappreciated. New Yorkers really do appreciate taking the subway system. After all, where would we be without it?

The subways and bus stations must be really dumb to think they are underappreciated. We ride their buses and trains every day and we appreciate them for that. Somebody should tell them that.
