Play defensively, and await an opponent's mistake.
Everyone is bound to make a mistake if they are chiefly offensive. But, if they play mainly defense, you may have to resort to taking off small portions of energy, eventually forcing them to take the offensive role.
Good ways of suckering your opponent onto the offensive are listed in the following:
▫ If your opponent is blocking, walk up to them and low punch a few times, stop, and get ready to block. When you feel it's safe, stop blocking and walk up and low punch a few more times.
▫ Again, if your opponent is blocking, walk up to them and crouch kick once. There is no retaliation against a single crouching kick.
▫ Once again, if your opponent is blocking, walk up to the limit of your sweep range, and sweep. Do it at the very limit, or it will be very easy for them to retaliate, in that it leaves you wide open afterwards.
▫ Use your projectile, which, depending on the type, will take off energy from most crouch blocking opponents. This is the best way of taking off small portions of energy, but don't do it too often or they'll dodge it once in a while.
